Its weight and thickness are not intrusive for those who like to take pencil and paper for a walk or spend hours of drawing sessions. Some even use it for more industrial purposes to use on wood, cardboard or even metal. You can write long essays with it as long as you keep turning the tip so you don't get a wide line, but it might be a bit heavy for this app, you. It has solid build quality and only a tiny rattle when you drop it on your laptop, for example. But the real magnet is the raw brass finish. Not only does it look great, it also has a patina that gives it a character all of its own. The leads supplied by Kaweco are nice and smooth, you might want to try other brands. In addition, Koh-I-Noor offers metallic and artist pastel leads for this pencil.
