So the rug arrived today oddly packaged for a rug but it appears to be lying flat with lots of heavy books. What you need to know: It is very soft. Extra soft, not like a standard rug. It feels almost like silky fleece. To be honest I'm not sure how well it will hold up but I guess time will tell. It's also not as thick as I would have expected from a rug. He's pretty thin. I have mine in the living room but I think it would be better as a bedside rug. But it looks great in the living room. I bought this because I'm in the animal rescue industry and the mats don't last long for someone in my situation. I never buy expensive carpets. The price of this rug was great and the colors were exactly what I wanted. I'm skeptical of how well it will hold up, but like I said, time will tell. Edited: I'm not a fan of this rug. It's just not a carpet. This is a bathroom or kitchen rug, not a living room or bedroom rug. I'm keeping it because I threw away the mat I replaced, but I won't be ordering from this company again. From now on I will stay with Safaviya.
