Review on πŸ”§ CRAFTSMAN Torque Wrench, high precision SAE 1/2-Inch Drive (CMMT99434) by Anthony Shields

Long and heavy, the best wrenches

How far the Craftsman has fallen. There was once a lifetime warranty on its products; now, for example, this torque wrench has a one-year guarantee. As for his work? It's not easy to check that you've arranged the numbers correctly; for example, sometimes the numbers in pounds seem either too high or too low when you think they are lined up; It was only by comparing them to their metric equivalents that I was able to confirm that hopefully it's aligned correctly. The bad black and white photos in the manual gave similar results, which don't help the user in any way. It's like an offer of good or bad luck. It seems like a good product; But people don't have to guess or compare numbers to be sure they're getting the right torque when using the tool. It's no good not being sure of a tool, because then it becomes unreliable. You think you tightened the nuts 100 pounds when in fact it was 90 pounds. When it comes to numbers, the tool should be easy to use, accurate and leave no doubt in the user.

Pros
  • QUICK IDENTIFICATION: Scales stamped on the body show torque settings in inches and metric units
Cons
  • Some little things
