I have an HP Pavilion G laptop. I'm using Windows 7. I bought this little thing because my laptop's WiFi went down a while ago and I've been using another cheap little adapter ever since. Just the other day my kid decided to yank at this thing and break it. I was about to buy the same thing again. But then something made me realize there were others here. Not sure what that means but I had a single but here I said double. It also had higher numbers than others in the search. So I went for this one for a few bucks more. Man I'm so thankful I did that. speed faster! The adapter immediately installed its driver as soon as I plugged it in and I didn't have to do anything else! What I did notice though is the fact that I don't have an adapter plugged in at the moment BUT somehow I still have Wi-Fi! Somehow this little adapter fixed my computer wifi, this adapter is on the shelf in the closet. !I only noticed this because this adapter only fits in one USB port on my laptop, but I also bought a bluetooth adapter for my new speakers and this bluetooth adapter only fits in the same place. I decided to turn off the wifi for a while so I could make sure the bluetooth adapter was working and also the wifi connection was uninterrupted! I was shocked, so I waited a little, waited a little more. I put off connecting the bluetooth adapter because at that moment I was afraid to touch my computer lol I didn't want to spoil the magic lol. It was the same feeling I had when I moved to a new place at 18, no cable but one day I picked up the TV to get rid of hiss and bam, free HBO and Cinemax lol. A month that does not want to spoil its happiness. XDS Same feeling here. At this point, a few days later, I still have Wi-Fi without a Wi-Fi adapter plugged into my USB port. The Bluetooth adapter is now in this place. And my little one yanked on my power cord, turned off the computer and dropped it a few times, Wi-Fi is still as strong as ever. Both the folks at HP and the company that makes the XvZ USB Wi-Fi dongle should raise their prices. Incredible products, this is the last and last! VERY happy with my purchase!
