Not the quality I expected from a Sabrent

I have had many different Sabrent devices (USB audio adapters, hard drive adapters, cables, etc.) in the past and all have served me well. For that reason I expected it to be a home game. not as much. The micro SD reader seems to work as it should (which is the main reason I got it) but the SD reader is very picky. Sometimes it reads it right away, and sometimes it shows that the disk is "properly protected". At this point I have to unplug the USB and plug it back in, which usually solves the problem. The problem is that the device sits on my desk as a semi-permanent installation, so unplugging the cable isn't the easiest of tasks. The USB hub seems to work most of the time, but sometimes a disconnect/connect cycle is required as well. like an SD card. It is very annoying that the USB hub has swapped ports. It looks like the R&D department took notice, especially since they seem to have put a lot of effort into the device's aesthetics. I also don't like how the cable is attached (but I knew beforehand because it doesn't really bother me). I understand this is mostly for laptop USB add-ons, but for those of us using it for desktop remote reading, please design it with a detachable cable so we can make it longer without a hockey to use. USB extension. I can't say anything about the CF reader because I don't need it at the moment. (Although this seems to be a complaint from many other users and I'm a little concerned if I'll ever need it later.) I've only done a few larger transfers and the speed seems fine. department but for all other problems I can return this product for another item.
