My last one lasted 15 years before becoming clogged with dust. I love that the company is supporting an old product and making a replacement so affordable and easy to install. This couldn't be much simpler, and the fact that everything uses a two-pronged connector makes it super secure, but make sure you at least turn off the switch to the fan first if you can't access the switch.
