I've converted many wheels with it. It fits all wheel sizes including 29", even with tires! It is necessary to clamp the skewers on the arms of the unit. Otherwise, turning the wheel by hand will cause the wheel to wobble a great deal, resulting in touching the setting gauges several times until the wheel is fully seated. I wouldn't call it a problem. But be careful anyway. The biggest problem is that the wheel is not centered between the setting gauges. You have to test each side by turning the wheel. I suppose that's what I should expect from an affordable cutting stand. Affordable doesn't mean cheap! But this is the market and the cost of the prevailing attitude. I still recommend it. Just notice that the wheel is not centered. Bonus tip: try to figure out which side of the spokes is loose. This way you can avoid aligning both sides when it is not necessary. Just press the spokes and listen to the harmony. A loose spoke produces a deeper tone. PS: The wheel consists of many parts such as rim, tire, spokes and freewheel housing (for the rear wheel). I use the term "wheel" when trying to put all the devices together.
