Review on πŸ”ͺ Global SAI-01 Chef's Knife, 7-1/2", Silver: Top-Quality Culinary Essential for Precision Cutting by Alisha Powell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Rounded knife

The knife is pleasant to the touch. It's well weighted and easy to handle. While I don't have any issues with slippage, I understand why it might be an issue for others. I personally don't care about the notch in the handle as I don't usually store knives there. I put it higher on the knife, on the blade and right in front of the roller and hold it between my thumb and forefinger. (See how to hold a chef's knife.) So I guess it doesn't matter if it's left-handed or right-handed or not more slippery than the other knife. A fairly sharp knife out of the box, like any factory knife, but needs sharpening to get a sharper edge. With moderate home use, it can keep its performance for a while. Of course, it doesn't last as long in everyday restaurant use, but its sharpness surpasses most other knives that my colleagues have.
