This ice maker is fast and functional with minimal issues. We can make a cone in seconds and the three blades allow you to quickly work many types of ice (blocks or chunks). I like the safety features - the blade only turns on when the lid is closed. Water drips as it melts, but that's to be expected. The hopper retains most of the melt and minimizes spatter. We tried different models that didn't work until we found this one. My advice: choose this and not a cheaper model that fails and performs poorly.
