I see some snobs commenting comparing these beats to the 'best on the market' brands. I'll tell you what: As an amateur, I do some fairly complex carpentry work, and I have many of the 'best on the market' branded cutters. I was really surprised at how good these bits are for the price. They are comparable to more expensive brands. Durability wise I bought a set of bits from this brand about 2 years ago which I have used for cabinet door locks and carpentry work and they still cut through hardwood like a champ and I didn't have to sharpen them so I moved on bought this set. Absolutely none of the bits have loose bearings or broken edges. Yes, you have to put on the men's gloves first to take them out of the case, but the more you use them, the easier it is to take them out of the case. I haven't tried the 1/4" shank bits I'm about to buy for my mini router, but these 1/2" shank bits work fine! If you're an amateur and not a full-time carpenter, you can save on your business expenses by buying beats from the "best brands on the market." I highly recommend them. To be honest most of the people reading this review fall into the amateur category anyway because professional carpenters usually have company accounts and don't read these posts. Either way, be a snob and buy the "best on the market" routers, or be very happy to save a few bucks and buy one. You will not be unhappy. Oh, and if you're the type who has to ask where everything on Revain is made, feel free to take it. Have a nice day!
