Padding, not softness

I have hardwood floors and purchased a low pile rug. I enjoy lounging/sitting on rugs so wanted something that would make it super comfortable.I wouldn't call it "soft" per se, but it definitely adds padding that is a great sound muffler, especially of you live in an apartment or condo. It's just not as plush as I personally would have liked. But the rubber padding definitely keeps it from sliding around
