Beautiful unit became expensive, total disappointment
I purchased a Boos unit from Amazon just over 2 months ago. After reading reviews of block cracks and the need to regularly clean and condition them with the branded oil and cream, I also purchased Boos oil and block cream and carefully followed all maintenance instructions. The two month old block now has a clear crack covering half of the board. Unbelievable! This is not a cheap cutting board so for the high price tag of $120 I had high hopes and confidence that with proper maintenance this would be prevented. Not the case at all. I have sent two emails to the manufacturer requesting warranty information, but have not received a response. Extremely disappointing. I would NOT recommend this product. Use a cheap plastic sheet.
