These are NOT the HGST discs that I have and love. It is a MUST WD with the HGST sticker.

I wasn't really concerned about the speed as I only use this for backups and it's free 29 days a month then 1 day for backup. but. I moved data to this drive and I can tell you that it is NOT a corporate drive. This is a HOME drive and the thumping I hear inside this drive scares me. I would be concerned that EVERY ride would make as much noise as these heads moving. It sounds like a fan spinning inside and getting hit by a cord or cord and when it rebounds and falls back into the fan it keeps knocking. Me. The knocking is very frustrating as I have 8 10TB TRUE HGST drives residing in the same JBOD and they are all silently doing the same job. Only these (2) discs make such noise. I'll box them up and send them back as soon as I find a replacement. It looks like HGST drives are "almost" or "completely" gone and WD will use the manufacturer's reputation to sell its cheap drives. Because my original 4TB HGST drives (there are 16 of them) have NEVER let me down in 6 years. I replaced them with these 10TB drives but. I can't in any way trust a drive that sounds like something is bouncing around inside like my actual HGST drives. I only have 8 real discs and will be looking for the remaining 'old' stock and if I find them I will be sending them back. They aren't broken but are of such low quality compared to my original HGST discs that they are driving me crazy. I heard her knock as I passed. while my fan was on and making noise!
