I have no idea what the concept was supposed to be with this because the installation instructions are so vague, but I installed it to the specs and it didn't work at all . After many trips to the basement to try and get it working I wish I could just install a new cable, it would take half the time to find out that this thing doesn't work at all. It wasn't rocket science pulling out a new wire, finding one on the web for $10 and throwing it over the wall, connecting one end to terminal C and the other to the thermostat. Works great now, not thanks to the Google Nest power supply.
