Durable, easy to use
I use them around the house especially when working on the rotor heads of my large sprinkler system and sometimes on PVC pipe. I bought them for these purposes for a large bow of the head. They worked great with these applications as they were adjustable enough to hold the pipe and heads without leaving tooth marks, a problem I've always had with things like canal locks. I can't say anything about the use for heavy metal pipes and the like, but for my purposes I find the price-performance ratio very good. You saved me a lot of time and nerves.
