Gorgeous Little Radio

This little radio is the most practical in the world. I wanted a radio that I could rely on in bad weather, power outages and, as the saying goes, STF. I wanted one that offered all three radio bands and this one has them. The AM stations didn't fare well which was a bit disappointing but I hope I don't have to rely on them alone. Solar panels work great. Many of the products I bought that claimed to generate electricity from solar energy did not live up to expectations. This product does what it promises. Of course, if you can't use the solar panels, you have the option of using the crank. Do not worry; it's not as bad as it seems. Just a few simple steps and you have the power! You should know as soon as you walk in that the fine print makes it clear that the fees don't last long. They last about 15-20 minutes; However, this is more than enough time to assess the situation and make plans for your family and safety. There are two ports to charge your phone/iPad/etc. Switched my phone to him with no problems. The radio also comes with its own flashlight. This isn't one of those cheap flashlights. This works very well. The compass comes with it, but mine just wasn't good. All directions were north no matter what I did. All in all a good radio for the price. It works well enough and as long as it gets me through the next weather emergency I'm happy.

Pros
  • NOAA AM FM PORTABLE RADIO - AM has a longer range than shortwave FM radio, but FM can pick up entertainment, sports, talk shows and news more clearly within tens of miles. (WB) NOAA Weather Radio receives 7-channel real-time weather forecasts (US and Canada only) such as earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes and severe storms.
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Doesnโ€™t hold charge. Hard to keep stations.
