The first and so far only attempt to transport skis with this carrier. Bolted to the 2005 Subaru Outback cross members. Relatively easy assembly and secure attachment of 4 pairs of cross-country skis. No problem driving 200+ miles on the freeway at 80+ mph. Have a lot of experience with roof top bike racks such as Thule, Rocky mounts etc and it's not that high quality but for occasional use and when it will be removed and not exposed to the elements this rack is a good piece of equipment at a good price. which should ensure good use.
