Review on πŸ“· Black Benro A48FD Aluminum Monopod with Flip-Lock, 4-Series and 3-Foot Articulating Base by Cedric Edwards

Revainrating 3 out of 5

- Excellent video head - Tripods and monopods

** Mainly used to record basketball games in the stands and along side/baselines ** After about 6 months of heavy use my thoughts are: Pros: - Great video chapter! (S6) very smooth and easy to use (quick learning curve IMO) - The monopod is made out of quality aluminum material and is longer than I need (6ft tall) - The increased height came in handy when shooting in stands and people were bouncing with joy. (recorded standup games) - twistlocks are great. Strong hold when snapped into place. The 3-leg base is great for maintaining a small footprint when shooting or taking photos in tight spaces. under tension (tightened with teflon tape on the threads and seems to have solved the problem) - 3 feet on the base have loosened a bit on the pivot. 1 foot was looser than the others and could lock up when carried outside of the bag (I used a small elastic to keep my feet in place during transit. Haven't tried a better solution yet.)

Pros
  • Good build
Cons
  • Not trendy
