It actually works BETTER than more expensive monopods.

So I owned and use Manfrotto, Cullmann and I bought the "award winning" iFootgear I believe it's called. It was more stable and easier to use and could be reset. into the central position, but the protrusions didn't fit well because they protruded through the latches. I would NOT get a screw cap as I think they are crap (take it to fine sand and you will learn quickly) so the ifoot was a latch too but lay flat. This is because the engineers designed it for a breech instead of matching the swing

Pros
  • Crossing my fingers
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Fantastic first stick.

This was one of the first video sticks I ever got and I still carry it on my shoulder. It's compact and works exactly as you'd expect. As long as your expectations are correct and you understand and accept that you're not getting decent roll/pitch resistance settings at this price point, this will serve you very, very well. Natural resistance is very good in both pan and tilt, and you can actually increase tilt resistance by slightly moving the tilt lock. YMMV with him though. Also, this is aโ€ฆ

- Excellent video head - Tripods and monopods

** Mainly used to record basketball games in the stands and along side/baselines ** After about 6 months of heavy use my thoughts are: Pros: - Great video chapter! (S6) very smooth and easy to use (quick learning curve IMO) - The monopod is made out of quality aluminum material and is longer than I need (6ft tall) - The increased height came in handy when shooting in stands and people were bouncing with joy. (recorded standup games) - twistlocks are great. Strong hold when snapped into placeโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Good build
Cons
  • Not trendy

Close, but not an outright winner.

Let me start by saying that I was sent an S4 head instead of the S6 I ordered so this review is for the S4. I don't know if it's from Amazon or from the seller, but not only was the wrong item sent, the box was in TERRIBLE condition (photos attached). I returned it but decided to give it a try as I had heard good things about the Benro but had never owned it. 1) Appearance: I like the color scheme and the look of the device. The material of monopod and head looks like high quality aluminum. 2)โ€ฆ

Very good video monopod except for one small annoyance!

Benro improved the version of Manfrotto monopod supported with A48FDS6. It's a little strange to get used to at first and I didn't fully understand the issue I was having until I contacted Benro tech support, but more on that in a moment. The monopod itself is a little heavy, but for the money it's quite worthy. If it were carbon fiber it would probably cost a lot more. It has strong bars for each section and allows for quick adjustments. The quality seems good, but while I don't use this thing

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • Hard to say
