This was one of the first video sticks I ever got and I still carry it on my shoulder. It's compact and works exactly as you'd expect. As long as your expectations are correct and you understand and accept that you're not getting decent roll/pitch resistance settings at this price point, this will serve you very, very well. Natural resistance is very good in both pan and tilt, and you can actually increase tilt resistance by slightly moving the tilt lock. YMMV with him though. Also, this is a newer version with a red locking ring at the base. I think this is a great feature and I prefer it over the older one without it or the similar Manfrotto monopod which also doesn't have that quick release. Just lift, pull or loosen, tilt or lock this ring as you like.
