When I first used these thermometers they worked perfectly. Interim said the filet mignon was average. I gave the steaks a little respite, and yet when I served them to my guests, the steaks were scarce. The next time I used delmonico steak thermometer. The temperature was never recorded correctly. The steak was done before the thermometer even started moving. I've never used the others for pork or chicken; I threw away both sets of thermometers. Yes I had to buy 2 sets to make 4 steaks. Pretty expensive bug (no pun intended). I would NOT recommend this product. Save money and buy a universal meat thermometer that registers instantly.
