Don't even bother: thermometers and timers

don't even bother. Good luck getting accurate temperatures with this product. Do not leave thermometers in the grill, they will overheat and will not give an accurate reading.

Pros
  • fingers crossed
Cons
  • there are problems

not very good thermometers

When I first used these thermometers they worked perfectly. Interim said the filet mignon was average. I gave the steaks a little respite, and yet when I served them to my guests, the steaks were scarce. The next time I used delmonico steak thermometer. The temperature was never recorded correctly. The steak was done before the thermometer even started moving. I've never used the others for pork or chicken; I threw away both sets of thermometers. Yes I had to buy 2 sets to make 4 steaks. Pretty

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Poor set

Maybe I'm just good at thermometers and timers

I can't get them to read very carefully. I've tried shoving them all the way into the steak, sometimes just barely in, and they've always been wrong. They are all shown at temperature (causing food to overcook), however they are not equal in their incorrect readings. Some thermometers can be adjusted (to correct an incorrect temperature) but as far as I can tell this is not the case. I can figure out how different everyone is and use multiple stamps to mark the difference. If anyone has an idea

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Have doubts
