Excellent wood carving knife. For the price I don't see what could be better. I just finished a project that took several hours and it worked great. The blade stayed very sharp the whole way, and there was no need to buckle up. The blade was very sharp, there was a small wire edge on the edge in a few places, but that doesn't bother me on a $20 knife. I repaired the knife and restored it to the condition it was supposed to be a razor. The grind of the blade is ideal for woodworking, since there is no embossed edge apart from the main grind. This allows for very precise cuts with very little unintended misalignment. The tip of this knife is very thin and ideal for detailed work. My only downside to this knife is that the handle is a fully symmetrical, tapered oval cylinder. It is comfortable from an ergonomic point of view, but there is no difference in the handle, how you have to hold it so that the cutting edge faces outwards. Although it may seem like common sense, the blade is polished almost to a mirror finish, your eye doesn't always give you the right information when you're working on a project for hours. There were several times when I raised a knife and was about to stab my finger with the point. Luckily, I realized my mistake before I hurt myself. I'll probably cut out the handle and make some finger grooves and that will solve this problem. Don't expect much from the sheath either, it's just a cheap plastic sheath that the knife comes in, the belt loop is almost useless. . I've removed it. Again, for the price I'm not really complaining. The shell doesn't do its job of protecting the edge anymore.
