Fixes Poor Ignition on a 2003 Honda Odyssey

Application: 2003 Honda Odyssey EX Our van started immediately and stalled and the problem only got worse. According to the OdyClub forums, if the van stalls and the dashboards don't light up, this indicates a bad/faulty ignition switch (electrical, not key). After disassembling the old part, I saw where the electrical contacts were worn and closed. I installed this Beck Arnley 201-1939 ignition switch and the starting problems are gone! I am adding this constructive criticism in the hope that the manufacturer will see to it that the product can be improved. This part lacks the protective plastic sleeve around the wiring that the original part had. I was able to remove it from the old part but I didn't have much time so I installed it anyway. I'm sure the plastic protector is just extra insurance against rubbing on the steering column and dashboard, but it would be nice to have it already installed. Also, the original had a small green connector that holds the wire harness to the steering column. This isn't required, but again would be nice. Maybe I'm just spoiled by Beck Arnley. I buy a lot of their OEM parts knowing they are a VERY reputable auto supplier in the US. I never have to worry about their parts (unlike the cheap Chinese parts you can usually find on eBay or online private label stores). Please don't let this constructive criticism deter you from buying - if you need a new ignition lock, it will work great for you too. The only reason I gave it one star is because the plastic case and plug are not included. My wife trusts her van again and that makes me a happy dad!
