Great crockery

My wife ordered this set for me as a present for my 44th birthday. I cooked professionally as a student and for a summer job. Cooking has also been a hobby of mine throughout my adult life. I've had a lot of great (and a few not-so-great) cookware sets over the years. I saw this cookware showcased at a popular cooking show and was impressed by its design, beauty and price. The main disadvantage of copper cookware is the maintenance required to keep it beautiful. After receiving this kit, I began searching for an effective copper cleaner. I chose Wright's Copper Cream. I didn't want to use any of the items in the set until my copper cleaner arrived. It arrived today so I finally got a chance to use my awesome cookware. If you are looking for tableware that will retain its original beauty without maintenance, I recommend looking elsewhere. However, if you are willing to spend a little time cleaning the product after each use, you will be delighted with your purchase! After the pot has cooled, rinse the stainless steel interior with warm water and Bartender's Secret using a non-abrasive sponge or cloth. Copper will tarnish when used with heat, but applying a thin coat of Wright's Copper Cream with the included sponge, rinsing with warm water and buffing with a soft cloth will restore the original iridescent shine. Another suggestion: cook over medium-high heat and allow the pan to preheat before adding the protein. Cook until you can invert the pan without sticking. If you're willing to do these simple things, you'll be delighted with your purchase.
