I needed to widen a doorknob in a metal door and was afraid to do it with a Dremel tool and/or hand file. My father advised me to buy one of these and try it. I bought this jig and an RCT-10 saw adapter and went down to the opening. After about 5 minutes of careful sharpening, the hole was just the right size for the new, larger handle. If you don't hold your saber saw *very* tightly, you're likely to find it deflecting. Also, make sure you're filing at an angle and applying pressure so the file doesn't hit the object you're working on and leave a nice dent or scratch if it gets out of control (I've had this from personal experience learned). It's not the best file I've ever used (a good hand file works wonders for great accuracy), but it works well enough and makes difficult jobs a lot easier.
