Review on πŸ”§ Enhanced Stability: Whiteline KLC141 Sway Bar Link Kit in Sleek Black Finish by Mark Gancio

Not bad for the money

I use these with the adjustable rear carrier on my MkV GTI. I've driven them a few thousand miles and they're fine. I highly recommend purchasing an extra fine wrench or needle vise to complete the installation. As you start tightening the nuts, the bolt/ball joint will rotate. The nut that is welded to the bolt on the inside of the bracket is very flimsy and sits next to the rubber boot for the connection, making it very difficult to keep it in place. Once they're on, setting them up is easy. (Make sure you set them with the suspension loaded.) You might want to check the torque characteristics after a little movement. After a few hundred miles I had a screw loose, but after re-tightening it was fine. Some Locktite might come in handy. One problem I have with these (and some other brands) is that they curl up and never return to their original "flat" position. I'm not sure if and how much this affects performance.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • I won't say anything
