I bought an iBobbler after getting this Deeper Starter. The problem with the iBobbler was that it couldn't connect to my phone when the iBobbler was more than 5 feet away. I returned iBobbler and got Deeper Starter. Deeper Starter had no problem connecting to my LG phone as far as I can cast and it finds fish. One problem I had with Deeper was that my phone would not connect to Deeper after 3 hours of fishing. I thought the Deeper might have run out of power, but when I got home and recharged the Deeper it was still 3/4 full. I went fishing the next day and it happened again. Looks like Deeper is shutting down or going to sleep and not connecting. I have a workaround for this problem. You can carry an external USB battery pack and when the phone isn't plugged in, plugging it into the external USB charger seems to wake up the Deeper and connect to the phone.
