I have used race tires and have had up to 1500 miles of punctures almost every set so I never "replace" them and I have used Gatorskins which are bulletproof - no punctures over 3000 miles per set but they are heavy, slow and grippy, like wagon wheels on a wet road. This is my favorite tire for the near future.
