Review on 🍓 Enhanced OXO Good Grips Strawberry Huller for Easy Removal by Amanda Thomas

I'm a bit confused about this gadget! The title says it's for both strawberries and tomatoes, but the product description says it's for strawberries, as does the packaging. I bought this solely for strawberries and it works well for some and not others. I tried it on a container of berries that I had already plucked from the green stalks and washed. The problem is that small berries can hold too many berries and large ones not enough. The rotating part crushed some of the ripe strawberries, and the pulling or "slapping" part didn't always detach the stems. I can see why using them for something that requires a lot of fruit is a faster way to peel strawberries. As always, if I'm only using a handful of berries, or even making a pint of berries, I'd probably peel them with a sharp paring knife, which allows me to use more fruit. I will use this to make strawberry and banana smoothies once mixed no matter what the berries look like. I've always liked the OXO brand of kitchenware, and while it's not perfect, it's still good enough to buy just to make lots of strawberries. I don't know how it would be for destemming tomatoes as it's smaller than the one I have specifically for this purpose. Personally, I don't think this is enough for a "regular" sized tomato, but it might work for smaller cherry tomatoes.
