Easy-Release Strawberry Huller - AMAZING!

Have you ever had a huge box of strawberries and had to take a paring knife and start removing all the skins from the strawberries for a LONG TIME. NO LONGER! I got this tool (I got it a long time ago but that was just before I had to peel the strawberries) just before July 4th. It was wonderful! The only problem is that if you have a few mushy berries, it's best not to peel them, but you don't want to eat them either! It was ready before we knew it - ALL from this box! What a super thing! Be…

Doesn't work very well in Corers & Pitters

It just doesn't work. I watched oxo videos on youtube and kept trying. I've tried strawberries and also experimented with tomatoes. The core sometimes got stuck between the blades, slowing down processing. Worst of all, the blades didn't open and close when I wanted them to. When I tried to insert the blades, they sometimes broke. When trying to remove the pit, the blades would sometimes stay open (and the pit would not come out of the fruit). I noticed that there seem to be TWO versions of…

Oxo's second try is good

So I decided to give it a try by comparing it to a chef. I gave him the green light for a number of reasons. 1) You can disassemble it completely to clean it. Nothing complicated2) No spring mechanism to break. The chef is sprung. I'm not saying my spring broke or will break, I'm just looking at it from a design standpoint. 3) It can work like Chef'n if you just click and click on the green tab. how much you want. I prefer to just press the shell and let physics decide how much is removed…

Some work some don't

I'm a bit confused about this gadget! The title says it's for both strawberries and tomatoes, but the product description says it's for strawberries, as does the packaging. I bought this solely for strawberries and it works well for some and not others. I tried it on a container of berries that I had already plucked from the green stalks and washed. The problem is that small berries can hold too many berries and large ones not enough. The rotating part crushed some of the ripe strawberries, and

Works well but needs some adjustment

I bought this because I don't like cutting strawberries with a knife. I have vision problems, I'm not very good with a knife and I always felt like I was losing a lot of strawberries and making a mess. I've had it for a few days and bought some strawberries to try. Outside. First impression: cleans strawberries very well. It is very easy to take apart for cleaning and it doesn't take up much space in your drawer. I also tried it on a tomato: it worked wonderfully. Three issues prevent me from…
