It just doesn't work. I watched oxo videos on youtube and kept trying. I've tried strawberries and also experimented with tomatoes. The core sometimes got stuck between the blades, slowing down processing. Worst of all, the blades didn't open and close when I wanted them to. When I tried to insert the blades, they sometimes broke. When trying to remove the pit, the blades would sometimes stay open (and the pit would not come out of the fruit). I noticed that there seem to be TWO versions of this tool. One has small "ears" (handles) on the side. Mine is more like a curved cylinder. Maybe the version with ears works better?
