Car charger is a workhorse!
50 watts of pure DC power at 5 volts, what more can one say? The case heats up above 25 W output power, but does its job of controlling the components. I am currently using this for a five port USB charging station in my car. To charge non-Apple devices, simply connect the power outlets on that device to the USB port. If you want the connector to be Apple compatible, just google "Apple charging resistor with instructions" and click on the instructions link. One more thing, you need 65W on the 12/24V side to get 50W on the 5V side. Be sure to match the wires and fuses accordingly! The water resistance has not been tested.
