Update 9-2020 - Wires rot inside and break. This is a cargo trailer, not a boat trailer. Cut off 2 feet from connector and still brittle, oxidized and fragile. I suppose I'll have to rewrite. 18 months, the wires were additionally wrapped in a plastic sheath. The headlights seem good - full LED, which is what I wanted. The wiring is long, and while the connector looks standard, it isn't. In the photos you can see my original 4-wire flat connector on the top of the trailer and the new connector on the bottom. The new spark plug has a sort of plastic housing that is part of the molding. Even if the connector's jacket has been cut off, it will wrap around the D-connector, making it too large to fit into the jack. This will prevent this connector from working with the one on the car. Please note this trailer has worked on many different vehicles with factory and aftermarket seat belts. The manufacturer should be aware of this as it includes a mating connector with a 3 inch cable. I suspect they expect you to cut and replace the wiring harness on your car. Luckily, Revain sells a replacement fork, the Hopkins 48192 Endurance Quick Fix Trailer Side 4-Flat Connector. I ordered it and it should help.
