Due to the hot weather in Phoenix at the moment we have decided to just swap the lights now and rewire later if there is no wiring issue now. OK, less than a year after installing these cables they are failing because they are complete junk! I took great care to wrap the entire wiring harness in conduit and tape and they have NOT FAILED YET! The light still seems to work, but why even turn on the cord if you're going to trick someone? Update 9-2020 - Wires rot inside and break. This is a cargo trailer, not a boat trailer. Cut off 2 feet from connector and still brittle, oxidized and fragile. I suppose I'll have to rewrite. 18 months, the wires were additionally wrapped in a plastic sheath. The headlights seem good - full LED, which is what I wanted. I installed this kit last fall (September 2018) and soldered all the connections and used braid to protect the wires at all pinch/pull points. UPDATE to UPDATE (upgraded from 2 stars to 5 stars): I contacted Wellmax about a problem with their copper clad aluminum alloy (CCA) wiring. They came right back to me! They have assured me that they always use all copper wire (and never use CCA wire because they fully understand CCA's poor durability), but check with their supplier.
