Review on 🚤 Enhanced Safety: Wellmax 12V LED Trailer Lights Kit - Submersible, Waterproof, and Attachable Tail Lights for RV, Marine, Boat, Trailer, Camper by Mike Davis

I installed this kit last fall (September 2018) and soldered all the connections and used braid to protect the wires at all pinch/pull points. I took my boat out of the water for a year and left the trailer below deck for the winter in Michigan. During storage, one of the lamps broke, which is entirely my fault. I ordered a replacement light and installed it yesterday (April 2019). One of the wires was fine, but the yellow wire was completely rusted and falling apart. I couldn't get the solder to stick to it and the wires just fell apart when I tried to strip the insulation. I thought I finally put it back together, but when I checked, only half of the tail light I just replaced worked, along with one of the running lights. The other tail light and running light were completely dead. So after a trip to the launch pad and 7 months of storage it was all rotten. Also, my daughter cleaned the license plate holder with a lawnmower and broke it clean. I'm not sure how hard she hit it, but I expect it to be pretty strong or flexible enough that it can't get stuck on the freeway. Opinion. I will contact Mfgr. to see if there's anything they can do. UPDATE: Wellmax emailed Sunday for a new wiring harness and they responded within 30 minutes. They stated that they had a bad batch of wire last year (2018) and that this was rectified with their supplier. I have sent them information about my Revain order and although the warranty has expired they will rectify the situation. I will update this review pending a decision. UPDATE: Added star for good customer service. I was sent a completely new kit and installed new wiring on the original headlights. The wiring looks exactly like the original so we'll see how it holds up over time. The backlight works perfectly, the LEDs are bright.
