I run a construction company called Wilder Outdoor Spaces and we build quality cedar fences year round in the rainy PNW. . Although more expensive than other outdoor fasteners, we always use stainless steel round shank nails to fasten our fence boards as they are the only product that will not leave nasty rust marks on wood like galvanized nails do. They work great with most side/fence nailers (we have Bostich) and I would highly recommend them.
