I have decided to join the comment that I have seen in other reviews of this product. In particular, the two thinnest blocks (1/16 inch and 3/32 inch) are curved - 1/16 inch more than 3/32 inch. If I had to guess, the marking process induces a surface tension that thinner blocks cannot withstand. In the image I've attached, these two blocks are stacked face to face (I call the marked side face) to make it clear. In both cases, the flex is such that when you place the back (the unmarked side) on a flat surface (my table saw), the left/right side flexes and the block wobbles. However, I don't find them "useless" as another reviewer claimed. Even a little pressure will flatten the block, so I've had no trouble using them as spacers, but it's annoying and certainly cost it a star in my book. Otherwise I took a caliper and a thickness gauge. to them, and they are all accurate to within a few thousandths of an inch. Definitely more than accurate enough for my woodworking needs. Oh, and I agree that opening the box upside down would be a disaster, so do yourself a favor if you buy it and put a "DO NOT OPEN ON THIS SIDE" sticker on it Label. return. Nothing a piece of tape and a marker solved for me.
