I'm new to cast iron but so far I'm loving it. It was good value for money. I mean, how often do you buy something knowing your future grandkids can use it? Hardly ever! It was pre-seasoned but I felt the bottom was still a bit uneven. In places, what looked like burnt spice was left behind. A batch of fried ribs fixed everything! The bottom was noticeably smoother and the next time I cooked with it the barley didn't notice any sticking. Remember that cast iron is an investment and should never be thrown away. Wash with salt and dry thoroughly every time and this pan will last a lifetime.
