Beautiful cast iron pan

This pan was already seasoned but I could feel the food sticking so I oiled it and put it in the oven at 350C for an hour. It worked great. I use this pan for a variety of dishes alongside the stovetop and oven. Recipes like cornbread, pineapple upside down pie, burger, steak, etc. Now it's easy to clean and fits in a pan.

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Incredible collectible dinnerware, outstanding dinnerware

I will resist any valid praise I could share on here. Instead, I'll leave that to you: I bought one for myself and FOUR others to gift to family and friends! --- I will be ordering at least two more for upcoming birthdays. Beautiful, cool vintage tableware!

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • too silly

This is the hut! ! in the kitchen and dining room

The loggia is wonderful, I have a great-grandmother, my mother's great-grandmother. The lodge is the best ever. It leaves nothing unsaid. You cook great. Only one dish is cooked in each pan. This is how they were used by them, I follow how they used them, a taste that cannot be compared to anything else. The lodge is simply the best! Everyone should have a lodge, they are affordable so I recommend more than one.

Excellent Gift - Cookware

I like to cook in cast iron, there is no better brand than this. I've been using some of my Lodge pans for over 30 years. You need to make sure you keep them seasoned, don't use soap, and hot dry them to make sure they're completely dry. I think the Wilderness range of cookware and some of the American made pans make great gifts for Eagle Scouts, it will be something that will last a lifetime and designs can be chosen to suit individual needs.

Sturdy frying pan, looks used

My excitement about purchasing the Lodge frying pan quickly turned to disappointment as it appears they sent a used frying pan. At first it was difficult to remove the goo used to attach the Lodge label to the pan and when I finally removed it it was left with a visible stain. There is rust on the bottom of the pot, an odd spot of rust on the handle and a few dents here and there. I tried calling the lodge but got disconnected after almost an hour of waiting. Too bad.

  • Well made
Cons

Trim was peeling

I bought 2 of these - one was going to be a gift. They both had problems with the edges chipping or the spices. I picked one up and seasoned (applied vegetable oil and baked at 475 F for an hour) 5 times and the problem was solved. But I'm not sure if it's worth it. I changed another one and the replacement came with the same problem. I'll probably stick with the Lodge, but I'll choose one from Wal-Mart so I can make sure the trim doesn't chip off. I still love the Lodge but I don't understand…

Defective and NOT SOLD Lodge

This item is incorrectly listed as a sold Lodge (Revain even links to the Lodge website). Because I received a defective item (see attached photos of one of the rust spots). and *jagged edge*), I contacted Lodge on instructions from Revane. Apparently they've asked Revain to fix this error multiple times in the past. I ended up going back to the Revain and am returning it for a replacement (fingers crossed it's ok). So one star for offering a replacement and minus four stars for sending in…

Pros
  • Worth your money
Cons
  • Everything OK

Newbie loves it for Griddles

I'm new to cast iron but so far I'm loving it. It was good value for money. I mean, how often do you buy something knowing your future grandkids can use it? Hardly ever! It was pre-seasoned but I felt the bottom was still a bit uneven. In places, what looked like burnt spice was left behind. A batch of fried ribs fixed everything! The bottom was noticeably smoother and the next time I cooked with it the barley didn't notice any sticking. Remember that cast iron is an investment and should never
