Difficult length to adjust and impossible as stated

These knobs are difficult to adjust and cannot be adjusted to lengths under 105mm but over 80mm. To adjust, you need to cut the spokes and then file them gently so you can put nipples on them. The instructions suggest that you can file the ends of the spokes while they're still in the grips, but you can't do this without removing them and clamping them firmly in a vise. The correct way to cut the spokes is with a bolt cutter, which cuts the spokes cleanly, not with pliers as suggested in the instructions. The handles are attached with three spokes, the length of which is initially 130 mm with a thread of 30 mm. Since the nipples require a minimum of 5mm thread, you can cut off a maximum of 25mm, giving a handle length of 105mm. The grips come with a spare set of 80mm spokes, but that means the longest grip you can make is 80mm, so it's not possible to get a grip that's 80-105mm long . Therefore, the grips had to come with a spare set of 105mm needles, not 80mm needles. I also found that the inner collar was too tight to fit the handlebars and had to be opened in a slit to fit. Finally, it is necessary to tighten the spokes after installation but before tightening the inner collar, otherwise the leather rings will rotate when you hold them. As such these grips are generally difficult to install and adjust and cannot be adjusted as implied in the product description. Another annoyance is that the metal rings are held in place with 2.5mm hex screws and you'd think they'd be a wrench at this price point for this unusual size. On the plus side, the grips are very comfortable and the overall quality is very good.
