I had to fix the gutters but I couldn't lift the ladder up to the gutter while I was working on it. I thought I would use a standard U spacing but the spacing wasn't enough, also they tended to be more expensive especially for toolless ones. This offers deeper clearance as it is designed to accommodate corners. I was able to put the ladder against the wall and easily access the gutters. I can also extend the Corner Buddy over the roofline so it rests on the shingles but the ladder doesn't hit the gutter. This is important if there isn't enough wall between the soffit and the opening below - the cul-de-sac abuts nothing (note: I have a 12x12 roof pitch). The solution is to raise it above the roofline. There was another that did this but was more expensive and required the purchase of an extension cord. Haven't used this on corners yet but don't see how it wouldn't work.
