Review on 🥫 Old Dutch International Copper Canister Set - 4Qt, 2Qt, 1½Qt,1Qt - Premium Kitchen Storage Containers by Tim Knoepfle

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good enough to look at

These are good containers but mainly for decoration. As many reviewers have pointed out, the lids just don't fit snugly enough to store anything inside. Of the 4, only 1 is firm enough to store away (the second of the smallest) without worrying about things getting old or bugs getting in. Since we live in Florida and deal with humidity and pesky ants who are too spoiled to enjoy the outdoors anymore, we can't use them for food/baked goods storage. I think you could put some things in it but not flour, sugar, coffee etc which I was hoping for. The "seal" is nothing more than a plastic ring that fits into a groove on the lid. It's just not big enough to fit snugly to the body. With that in mind, I would say they look very nice. I love the look of hammered copper, they seem to be well made and look really nice in our kitchen. The copper really compliments the new countertop we installed and we added a few other pieces of copper that look really great. The dimensions are good (see photo for scale compared to a can of coke). The big one is really nice and big and the smallest is quite small. I was really hesitating between 3 and 4 stars, but decided on 3 because while looking good is important, functionality is just as valuable. I'm sure I will find something in there to keep, but not the original purpose of the purchase. If you buy them for display/decoration I think you will be very happy. If you need food/bakery storage containers, I suggest moving on to something that can close properly.
