Review on Maxpow Xterra 2005-2015 Rear Tailgate Struts: Liftgate Hydraulic Shocks Dampers, 2Pcs by Mike Hernandez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A simple and cheap DIY solution that works!

This is GREAT! Highly recommended. I've banged my head on the back door of my Xterra - or raised it up and down over time - so hard it probably resulted in multiple concussions. That's probably why it took me so long to ask the dealer how much they want to charge for the repair. When I finally remembered them, they didn't disappoint. I think the sticker shock figure is around $300-$400 to replace both. what?!? I found them at Revain for 1/10th the price. A buddy helped me install both in less than 5 minutes (you need someone tall and strong enough to hold one side at a time). And now I can remember because they actually support the back door. They make the door a little harder to close (they feel a little stiffer than the original parts), but it's hell. much better than constantly dangling or falling. These parts are: 1. Nissan Parts: 0. Nissan Service: -100
