My wife's minivan has over 100,000 miles on it. on it and as far as we can tell, the cabin filter has never been changed. This made a HUGE difference in heating and cooling performance. A small drawback - a slight whistling or humming of the fan began when the fan was operated at high power. Maybe because other work is being done at the same time, maybe because the soft frame of these filters doesn't seal either. In general, we are very satisfied with the air conditioning, which cools the car even further.
