Formaldehyde has been reported by the American Cancer Society to cause irritation of the eyes, nose and throat with prolonged exposure. I, a 20 year old college student, have been using TresEmme products for (at least) three years. Little did I know that this product (along with stress) contributes to hair loss. This product is not for the scalp and these companies simply add it because it prolongs its shelf life. I know it may not be ideal in some cases, but PLEASE spend a little more or find another product that will not harm your health in the long run, especially if you can afford it. It made my hair so weak and increased my allergies due to harmful ingredients.
