I wanted to protect the heel of my shoes when I went out to take engagement photos. I didn't test them out on grass so I have no idea if they would work in that capacity. But they got a couple hours use and did what I wanted them to, which was prevent my heel from getting chewed up while I walked around. In that they were successful, however I did notice that they had twisted around so the back of the heel cover was facing front. This might be resolved by using a smaller heel cover size. But they did not come off, nor did my heel break through the plastic.
