my dog seems scared of it

My 12lbs dog has a bear this shape he loves (loves to hump, play tug, tear apart and sleep with) It has been repaired so many times it cant be sewed up any more and I was looking for a similar shaped but tougher toy the same size. This fits the bill exactly -- but, perhaps because it is not plush or soft (it is really quite stiff, with beady looking eyes) he is not interested, indeed he won't go near it! it is extremely well made and I can see it would be durable for a dog who wanted only to chew his toy -- just not for one who is also looking for a snuggle companion. We are going to give it away to a younger and more chewing -oriented friend.

Pros

The tough design means it's less likely your dog will suffer from boredom during playtime, keeping them mentally stimulated

Cons

The TUFFY Zoo Junior Bear's material attracts pet hair, making it difficult to keep clean and presentable
