This lasted 2 days before my 7 1/2 month old 130 lb. Great Dane pup ripped open top of front leg w/ dangerous stuffing exposed and all over the house. Don't buy any Tuffy Toys w/ dangerous fiber stuffing inside. I don't know how this company is still in business making these, dangerousfiber stuffed toys that pose a threat to dogs if fiber is ingested.

It didn't take our Vizsla and Great Dane long at all to eat the ears and nose off of this bear. Thankfully the nose is its own part, so there is another "dam" that holds the stuffing in the bear. Unfortunately, that dam isn't very strong, and I noticed within two days of having it that the seams around the legs (where they connect to the bear) already had holes and were separating. My dog loves tuffy toys and many of them have lasted years despite him being a chewy lab mix (lobster, bone, fish). But the bear in particular has small ears which he found easy to tear off. And from there it wasn't long before the whole thing was destroyed. If you have tough chewer I'd go with another of the tuffy toys.

We got this for her when she came home as a pup, the smaller one. She is 2 now and I got her the big one for Christmas. I would say it holds up to power chewers! She finally did in the smaller one after over a year. We'll see how long this one lasts. So far, so great! I love how careful the company is with securing the squeakers inside, otherwise I might have been too concerned to get these. They don't squeak often, but I think she likes it even more for the challenge.

My puppy tore through to the center of this in under five minutes. I have never been more disappointed with a product. Waste of money.

My flattie is a tough chewer. I was so excited to have a new toy that she couldn't destroy within the day. She chewed through the leg in less than 15 minutes. It seems really durable for dogs that aren't tough chewers.

Our Chessie likes to chew things up! This bear has withstood her gnawing and rough playing. It is not a cheap toy, but it has lasted longer than two cheap toys -- so I'm ok with the price. Very cute and our dog likes to play with it.

I bought this product as it's decription was that it was tough. When I recieved it I believed it. This toy seemed impenetrable until my 6 month old collie tore it to shreds in literally about two hours. Total failure.

This toy doesn't last as long as I would have hoped however the dog loved it so I got another one. I've had very good luck with the lobster toy it's going on over a year so far.

I bought this one along with another . this one was later getting here then the other but my dog again tore this one up in less then 10mins I was really hoping to find a toy that would last .

These are the toughest, biggest, roughest toys we have every had in the house. Our dogs pull, tug, chew…drag them through the house. They are great!

We have an English bull dog puppy who was around 7 months old when we got the bear. It took her about a month tear open one if the legs and even less time to pull of the ears. For the price I would have expected a longer life.

I’ve purchased toys from Tuffy in the past and they’ve been great - lasted for weeks to months even. Unfortunately for this toy it didn’t withstand 5 minutes. I would love to order from Tuffy again - but I’m not sure I can leave my dog unsupervised with the toy with the possibility of him choking.

My 12lbs dog has a bear this shape he loves (loves to hump, play tug, tear apart and sleep with) It has been repaired so many times it cant be sewed up any more and I was looking for a similar shaped but tougher toy the same size. I usually love these toys for My dog. (See the previous review below.) All the other tuffy animals I purchased have held up.This one did not! He destroyed it within minutes. I wouldn't recommend the elephant one at all.My dog is 120 pounds and still a puppy he absolutely destroys most toys but these Tuffy toys he keeps for quite a while

Not very tough or durable. Has only been played with for about three sessions of 10 minutes each and has holes in it. Other toughie toys were better.

We had purchased another toy from this brand and it held up semi well. We picked this one because it gave a "toughness” rating if 9/10. When we got them they said 7/10 on the tag, which was already super annoying when you’re paying over 30 dollars for two toys. Our two labs had them destroyed in less than 5 minutes. Would definitely pass on these!
