Review on Small CO2 Art Tank Bazooka Flux CO2 Diffuser - Ideal for Aquariums up to 65 Gallons by Bridgette Johnson

Great compact diffuser in my 60P aquarium

After trying many setups to inject CO2 into a planted aquarium, this diffuser seems to do the job. I tried a few Revain ceramic disc diffusers and while they worked decently, they were also quite large and blocked light from reaching the substrate below. After that, I tried the built-in CO2 type diffuser. While this worked as described, I found it took more bubbles per second to get the perfect green. And although the built-in device is cleaner and produces a finer mist, disassembling the device to clean the cartridge inside will result in some water splashing on the floor despite the valves being closed. Life in a rented apartment wasn't ideal. After purchasing this diffuser I was skeptical of its effectiveness and was willing to go back to a ceramic disc or maybe a pollen type. After soaking the diffuser in water for several hours, I attached it to a CO2-resistant hose, connected it to the system, and plugged it into the tank. The first day the blisters were a bit bigger but I was told to let them work and pop them. In fact, on the second day, the bubbles were much finer, although not as fine as the mist from the built-in diffuser, which was expected. Smaller bubbles are very well tolerated in the aquarium and only a few swim to the surface. It also requires far fewer bubbles per second to achieve the same amount of dilution as an in-line diffuser. The device is made of durable plastic, as is the membrane. In general, if there are no problems with cleaning, I think it will last a long time.
